Why use it
This is the option for people who would rather not wait for a collection slot. Quantities are capped. You can bring five bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, doors or flat glass, and 150 kg of wood. Rubble from small home works is capped at 120 kg, about four small sacks. Prunings are taken in household amounts, and branches over 8 cm thick must come here rather than go in the brown bin. Household chemicals are taken too: up to 5 kg of paint and solvents, 10 litres of motor oil and 10 aerosols. You must bring it yourself, and vans with company lettering are turned away. Doors, timber and glass are taken for disposal or recycling, not passed on for reuse. They refuse tyres, apart from up to three bicycle tyres, and biowaste, and anything radioactive, explosive, flammable or infectious. There are also mobile and neighbourhood points if none of the sixteen is near you.
